23/04/24 (Agence Europe) – In a new report on Monday 22 April, the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) assessed the proposed methodology for gas transmission tariffs for Interconnector Limited (INT), the gas pipeline linking the United Kingdom and Belgium. The Agency considers that the information contained in INT’s consultation document is insufficient to allow a full assessment of the compliance of the proposed tariff methodology with the EU Gas Tariff Network Code. In addition, the report highlights the EU Network Code requirements applicable to INT. The next step is for the Belgian NRA (CREG) to take a reasoned decision on the pricing methodology for INT, which is crucial to maintaining efficient gas transmission between the UK and Belgium.
