11/10/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 10 October, MEPs on the European Parliament’s Transport Committee voted in favour of the report for opinion by Isabel García Muñoz (S&D, Spanish) on the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027. The work on the European budget is taking place against a background where the number of new challenges – primarily environmental – has increased significantly in recent years, while the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic are still being felt in the transport sector and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is also having a heavy impact on the sector. A proportion of the transport budget is, in this way, also dedicated to military mobility. (TM)
