PES Council in Madrid to launch campaign for European elections 2009

Brussels, 27/11/2008 (Agence Europe) - Over 240 delegates from member parties of the Party of European Socialists (PES) and many guests and activists are to meet in Madrid on 1-2 December to discuss and adopt the PES electoral programme for the European elections 2009. The programme - a common platform for the Socialist and Social Democrat family of the PES - has been prepared through public consultation with parties, trade unions, NGOs, foundations and activists.
