Angela Merkel says Germany wants interests of small countries to be taken into account without neglecting big countries -'Do not write off the Constitution'

Brussels, 21/12/2005 (Agence Europe) - At last week's European Council, Germany was able to use the very limited room for manoeuvre in the budget talks to prove that it took small Member States seriously without neglecting relations with France and other big Member States of the European Union, said German Chancellor Angela Merkel in an interview published on 21 December with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
