28/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - The fifth world congress of high speed Eurailspeed”, sponsored by the EU will be held in Milan on 7-9 October on the theme of “High Speed - Major Advantage of Railways - at the service of Customers and Society”. This event is organised by the International Union of Railways (UIC) and includes a programme of technical visits. Round table discussions will help tackle essential aspects of highly competitive passenger transport: marketing and intermodal competition, commercial innovation and technical progress, partnership with industry, funding networks, environmental impact etc. At the same time as the congress, an international exhibition on the sector begins on 7 November. 65 exhibitors will be demonstrating aspects of the high speed rail sector.
