28/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday in Strasbourg, the European Parliament adopted the report by German Christian Democrat Karl-Heinz Florenz on payments owed to the European Medicines Agency, a subject on which it only has an advisory role. Parliament approved the draft regulation in question but is requesting that the payments requested for traditional plant-based medicines do not exceed 25,000 euros (as opposed to 230,000 euro for medicines for general human use and 116,000 euros for medicines for veterinary use.
