Brussels, 28/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - The high level CARS 21 group (Competitive Automotive Regulatory System for the 21st Century), chaired by vice president of the Commission, Günter Verheugen, who is also responsible for industry and enterprise, welcomed a new member into the fold, the European Council for the Motor Trades and Repairs (CECRA). The president of CECRA, Jürgen Creutzig was delighted by the contribution his federation could make to CARS 21 and the issues linked to car spare parts and vehicle repairs. The high level group, which since January 2005 has been involved in elaborating a regulatory framework for improving competitiveness in the European automobile industry, is expected to present its recommendations before the end of the year.
