Commission to seek clarification of US no-fly list following incident involving KLM plane in April

Strasbourg, 06/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, MEPs expressed concern at the transfer to the United States of personal details of air passengers flying in US airspace. The debate centred around an incident regarding a KLM flight to Mexico in April 2005, which was prevented from entering US airspace and had to turn back after two passengers were identified from advance passenger information (API, culled from passports) as featuring on a US no-fly list of undesirable air passengers.
