Council puts finishing touches to its work ahead of first reading of draft budget 2006

Brussels, 06/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Committee of Permanent Representatives of the Member States of the EU (Coreper) reached agreement on Wednesday on the position the Council will defend at the first reading of the draft budget 2006, on 15 July. The institutions of the EU will meet on 11th July for the budgetary Trialogue in order to prepare for concertation between the EP in the Council.
