Yes to purchase of Pirelli activities by Goldman Sachs

Brussels, 06/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised the proposed acquisition of two divisions of the Italian company Pirelli by the American investment bank Goldman Sachs. The two divisions, called Pirelli Cavi e Sistemi Energia and Pirelli Cavi e Sistemi Telecom, produce and market cable systems in the energy and telecommunications sectors at global level.
