Commission sends final notice before taking Cyprus to court over aviation safety

Brussels, 06/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has sent a reasoned opinion to Cyprus for failure to transpose European legislation regarding the investigation of civil aviation accidents and incidents (Council Directive 94/56/EC of 21 November 2004, published in OJ J319 of 12 December 2004). The objective of this piece of legislation is to improve air safety by facilitating the expeditious holding of investigations that are held for the prevention of future accidents and incidents....
