Brussels, 11/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has proposed changes to the legislation on food additives other than colours and sweeteners (directive 95/2/EC) to the Parliament and Council, to adapt the provisions to the latest scientific data.
The main changes proposed aim firstly to increase food safety via more restrictive provisions, and secondly to authorise new food additives which have been scientifically proven to be safe for human health. The Commission is thus...
