Young Federalists want EP to be able to reject Commissioners on an individual basis

Brussels, 11/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - 'The European Parliament is rightly frustrated' by the hearings with the members of the Barroso Commission since current rules leave little hope that the European Parliament 'will be able to exert sufficient pressure on individual Commissioners that it does not estimate competent regarding their personal and professional skills,' commented Jon Worth, Secretary General of the Young European Federalists (JEF) in a press release.
