Council approves ALTHEA Operational Plan - Transfer of authority from NATO to EU scheduled for 2 December

Brussels, 11/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - In Luxembourg on Monday the External Relations Council approved the Operational Plan for the EUFOR Operation 'Althea' in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The OPLAN is a confidential document outlining planning and operational details (including resources) for the EU-led operation. In its conclusions, the Council notes that the transfer of authority from the ATNO-led SFOR operation in Bosnia and Herzegovina to the EU-led operation 'Althea' is scheduled for 2...
