11/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - French Green member Marie Anne Isler Béguin, who chairs the EP/Georgia delegation, says in a statement that the delegation does not recognise the "illegitimate president elections" of 3 October in Abkhazia. After the Rose Revolution in Georgia, there was new hope that territorial conflicts could be resolved without conflict, Ms Isler Béguin said, supporting territorial integrity of Georgia and taking a stance for resumption of talks on Abkhazia's status with...
