11/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - Several European Commissioners will take part in the "Progressive Governance Conference" on 13 -14 October in Budapest organised by the Policy Network, think-tank presided by European Commissioner-designate for Trade Peter Mandelson. Other participants in Budapest will include Pascal Lamy, Joaquim Almuni and Laszlo Kovacs, as well as the MEP and former Danish prime minister Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, former Italian and Portuguese prime ministers respectively Giuliano Amato and Antonio Guterres, former French ministers Elisabeth Guigou and Dominique Strauss-Kahn. The conference will be presided by the new Hungarian prime minister Ferenc Gyurcsany.
