Brussels, 24/08/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, Vaclav Klaus, the Czech President, vetoed the draft law transposing the European Arrest Warrant into Czech law. The draft legislation was approved by the chamber of deputies at the end of June, and will now be sent back to the chamber. According to AFP, President Klaus comments on his personal website that the law amounted to abandoning the Czech Republic's sovereignty and ability to take independent action.
