Poland and other new Member States should be allowed to benefit from agricultural aid earlier than planned

Brussels, 24/08/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Monday the European Commission indicated that it was willing to agree to a request by Poland to put forward by a month the date for paying Community agricultural aid. Aid could therefore be paid from 16 October instead of 1 December, a concession that will be neutral in a budgetary sense.
