European Commission contemplates more flexible working of Stability and Growth Pact

Brussels, 22/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission, which is to publish its report on public Member State financing on Thursday, is to discuss during its Wednesday meeting the issue of reforming the Stability and Growth Pact. At this stage, discussions will mainly cover the broad lines which could serve as a basis for future talks with member States on fine-tuning the Pact.
