Fischler calls on Canada and USA to go as far as EU in getting rid of export subsidies

Brussels, 15/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - In an effort to reach an agreement at the WTO the end of July on the main guidelines for liberalising trade, Commissioner Franz Fischler has called on Canada and the USA to go as far as the EU in getting rid of their export subsidy systems. This information came out on Monday during a press conference in Winnipeg, Canada.
