Brussels, 28/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Employment and Social Affairs Council in Luxembourg on 1 June (see yesterday's Europe, p.11) will be the first Council meeting attended by the new European Commissioner Stavros Dimas. The European Commission expects the Council meeting to reach political agreement on the 2004 Employment Package, which is far more detailed and consistent than in the past since it incorporates the work of the Kok Employment Task Force.
