28/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - Ahead of the International Day for UN Peacekeepers (29 May), EU High Representative for CFSP Javier Solana issued a statement in which he commemorated "with respect and gratitude the contribution of peacekeepers serving under the UN's blue flat around the world. For over half a century they have serviced the world in reconciling warring parties and establishing peace in regions of conflict."
