Political agreement over Europass - Ministers welcome Commission's ideas on new generation of education and training programmes

Brussels, 28/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - European education and youth ministers continued their work on 28 May under the chairmanship of the Irish ministers Noel Dempsey (Education) and Sile de Valera (Education), after debating culture and broadcasting the day before (see yesterday's Europe, p.10). The high point of the discussions was reaching political agreement on Europass, a single framework to ensure the transparency of qualifications and skills for citizens seeking work.
