Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres calls for cultural diversity to reduce VAT on CDs

Brussels, 28/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - During the Culture Council and after a meeting with Internal Market Commissioner Frits Bolkestein on 25 May in Brussels (see EUROPE of 28 May p.10), the French Minister Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres highlighted the problem caused for the CD industry by music downloaded from the internet free of charge, AFP says.
