Attack in Madrid highlights need for Constitution to strengthen European solidarity and Union's ability to combat crime and terrorism

Brussels, 16/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - The shock wave caused by the terrorist attack on Madrid was naturally felt in the European constitutional debate. Attendance was very high at the last meeting of the European Parliament constitutional committee open to national parliamentarians.
