European Commission "delighted" Zappatero government wants to "move" forward - Baron pleased Madrid no longer blocking consitution - Warsaw worried

Brussels, 16/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - Gerassimos Thomas, deputy spokesperson at the Commission stated that the European Commission was "delighted" with the first public declaration by the future Head of the Spanish government, José Rodrigo Zapatero, who expressed his willingness to move on the European Constitution.

In an interview on radio SER, Zapatero asserted, without providing any details, that he sought to "speed up, as soon as possible, the adoption of the European constitution"...
