Strasbourg, 16/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - Last Thursday, the EP adopted a highly critical resolution on the situation in Ukraine, which in particular deplored poor prison conditions, arbitrary arrests and the excessive duration of preventive detention, and the stifling of freedom of expression.
