Brussels, 16/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - Commissioner Pedro Solbes' services are expecting forecasts ranging from 0.3% to 0.7% for GDP growth in the first quarter of 2004. This prediction, according to the European Commission, suggests that the euro area economy is building on the turnaround that took place in the third quarter of 2003. The Commission had been expecting 1.8% GDP for the whole of the year.
