16/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - French Agriculture Minister, Hervé Gaymard, announced on Thursday that he would be submitting an initiative to clean up the milk market in the EU to his partners in the near future. This strategy will be presented to the German Minister, Renate Künast, on 23 February. According to Mr Gaymard, France would accept a "reasonable" decrease in its milk quotas, as long as other European countries were prepared to do the same.
