Assembly of European regions calls on Community institutions to take into account specific nature of regional airports

Brussels, 16/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Assembly of European Regions (AER) made an appeal on Thursday to the European institutions to take into account regional considerations when drawing up European directives on state aid to regional airports for low-cost airlines. This issue should be on the Transport Council agenda on 8 March according to AER, which will give its political decision on the subject to ministers before the Council.
