16/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - By following its rapporteur French Socialist François Zimeray, the European Parliament has decided to defend the immunity of Italian Radical Marco Pannella by initiating legal proceedings following a complaint from Doctor Alfedo Ormanni. The complain focuses on a press statement in which Pannella sharply criticised the way in which the Italian legal system continued to deal with paedophilia.
