Revised Gahrton report on southern Caucasus mentions 1987 resolution and "genocide" of Armenians

Brussels, 30/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - Discussions on the report by Per Gahrton (Greens, EFA, Sweden) on the policy of the European Union on the Southern Caucasus could inflame the polemic of 1987 concerning the genocide of Armenians in 1915.

The Euro-Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy welcomed in a press statement the amendments adopted in the foreign affairs committee on the draft Gahrton report. The federation says that the report makes the draft, formerly biased against...
