30/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - Le Monde reported on 29 January that if Jean-Pierre Jouyet (France) and Caio Koch-Weser (Germany) manage to "gather half a dozen participants" at the European Treasury Directors meeting on 30 January in Brussels, they will propose setting up a Brussels-based "European Centre of International Economics" to EU finance ministers; a sort of think-tank, suggested last year on the 40th anniversary of the Elysée Treaty.
