30/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Bulletin of the Observatory on Economic Policies in Europe of the Universities Louis Pasteur and Robert Schuman, in Strasbourg, publishes in its number 9 of 2003 articles on "European budgetary dogmatism", the future of European regional policy and the euro-dollar exchange rate. In the editorial, Michel Dévoluy and Moïse Sidiropoulos evoke the marking events of the last months of last year, of the Swedish no to the euro, the Alstom Affair and the difficulties experienced by the Stability and Growth Pact. In their view, these developments suggest the discussion on the EU's economic doctrine should be placed on the agenda but it does not appear that the European Convention has made much progress in this field.
