Brussels, 21/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - European Commissioner for agriculture and fisheries Franz Fischler announced in Berlin during "Green Week", that he would not be a candidate for a third mandate as a Commissioner. He said ironically that "Some of you will be breathing a sigh of relief and thinking "at last, the stubborn old goat's off and taking his reforms with him".
