21/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Reverend Ian Paisley is leaving the European Parliament where he has had a seat since 1979, representing the Democratic Unionist Party of Northern Ireland. The protestant leader (whose party won the elections last November) intends to concentrate on Northern Irish issues by attending the House of Commons and Northern Ireland Assembly and by attending discussions with Catholics, which are expected to begin on 3 February.
