Informal Justice and Home Affairs Council to be devoted to test of common charters on illegal immigration and definition of "safe countries" in context of asylum procedure

Brussels, 21/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - Justice and Home Affairs Ministers are to meet on Thursday and Friday in Dublin for an "informal" Council. No spectacular decision is expected from the meeting chaired by Irish Justice Minister Michael McDowell, but the Presidency hopes to make progress on several issues hitherto deadlocked.
