Brussels, 21/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - In its adoption last week in Strasbourg of the initiative report by Austrian Social Democrat Christa Prets, entitled "Preserving the cultural diversity of the regions of Europe and international organisations (UNESCO, Council of Europe)", the EP has welcomed the October 2003 decision by UNESCO to launch work on an international convention on cultural diversity.
