Pat Cox to go to Court of Justice next week against family reunification directive

Brussels, 11/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - The President of the European Parliament, Pat Cox, is to go to the Court of Justice next week against the directive on family reunification. Further to the request by the committee on civil liberty, and the unanimous vote by the committee on legal affairs, "Mr Cox will, in all likelihood, follow the opinion and write to the Court of Justice to this effect", confirmed Pat Cox's spokesperson on Thursday (see EUROPE of 4 December, p.17).
