Parliament refuses to lift immunity for Marchiani

09/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - By adopting the report by German Christian Democrat Klaus- Heiner Lehne on Thursday in Brussels, the European Parliament rejected two demands for the lifting of immunity for French Rassemblement pour la France, MEP, Jean-Charles Marchiani. In both cases, the demands aim to complete the enquiries into a temporary detention requested by the same judge.
