The Belgian bank/insurers KBC will be launching a take-over bid on the outstanding shares to he second largest Polish insurance company WARTA, over which it has just seen its control rise from 40.03% to 51.03%. The bid will open on 12 December and close on 12 January 2004. The private company, KULCZYK, holds most of these shares. The maximum theoretical amount (acquisition of 100% of the shares) are worth 915 millions zlotys, 229.88 zlotys per share.
