Brussels, 27/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Council has still not reached an agreement on the Community patent. Divergences focus on the deadlines for translations of the patent "demands" in all community languages and the legal value of the translations. Spain I insisting that the deadline is three months. Germany want 24 months, the UK has proposed a compromise of 9-12 months. The council will be looking at the subject again at its next meeting.
