The Dutch PHILIPS ELECTRONICS and the Chinese JSMC-JILIN SINO-MICROELECTRONICS have created a joint venture to develop and manufacture bi-polar electronic components. This operation, the financial details of which have not been disclosed, will allow PHILIPS to double its sales in China (around 6.7 billion dollars last year).
