Italian group ALI GROUP (turnover of 465 million EUR for financial year ending August 2003 and with 2,500 employees), a specialist in products for the restaurant industry, has made an offer of 37.50 EUR per share to acquire the Finnish HACKMAN (consolidated turnover of 345.6 million EUR in 2002), or 180 million EUR for the whole of the capital. HACKMAN had already been approached by investment fund NORDIC CAPITAL, with an offer of 33 per unit.
