ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) aeronauticals

DAIMLERCHRYSLER has sold its aeroplane engine division, MTU AERO ENGINES (turnover 2.2 billion EUR in 2002, with an order book of around 2.15 billion and 8,400 employees) to American investment group KKR-KOHLBERG KRAVIS AND ROBERTS for a sum estimated at 1.45 billion EUR (including 250 million in debts).
