European movement-France symposium

Paris, 19/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Movement -France presided by Anne-Marie Idrac is organising on 22 November, at the National Assembly in Paris, a symposium on the "A Constitution for a New Europe?", Pierre Lequiller, president of the Assembly Delegation to the European Union and former Convention Member will be attending, as well as former vice-president of the Convention Jean-Luc Dehaene. European Commissioner Pascal Lamy and the French Minister for European Affairs Noëlle Lenoir, will take part in the debate, as well as former Convention Members: Hubert Haenel (French Senate), Pervenche Berès, Klaus Hänsch, Alain Lamassoure and Inigo Mendez de Vigo (MEPs), Michel Barnier (European Commissioner) Lamberto Dini (Italian Senator), Peter Balzas (Hungarian Ambassador to the EU). The themes on the agenda are: institutions and democracy, economics and social policies, freedom, security and justice area, Europe in the world.
