Paris, 19/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques of which Jean Cluzel is the Secretary, is organising on 9 December in Paris, a "Robert Marjolin symposium" focusing on the former French vice-president of the European Commission between January 1958 - end June 1967 (under the Hallstein presidency). The former French Prime Minister Raymond Barre, who was vice-president of the Commission from July 1967 to January 1973, will underline the contribution made by Robert Marjolin to European construction e, followed by Georges Berthoin, honorary president of the Jean Monnet Association, who will speak on the theme of "Robert Marjolin, Disciple and Friend of Jean Monnet".
