Debate on reconstitution of cod and hake stocks to take place in December at same time as TAC negotiation

Brussels, 17/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - Fisheries Ministers of the EU Member States for the most part expressed criticism during their meeting on Monday in Brussels about the long term plans for reconstituting cod and hake stocks. Negotiation on this issue will be held during the Council of 16 December at the same time as debates on fixing total allowable catches (TAC) and quotas for 2004.
