Rutelli report stresses European arrest warrant, European Public Prosecutor, and media pluralism

Brussels, 06/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - In its unanimous adoption of the report by Francesco Rutelli (ELDR, Italy) on the European Commission's communication on the "fight against corruption", the EP's Committee on Civil Liberties is calling on the Member States to transpose the framework decision on the European arrest warrant into national law by 1 January 2004, and to establish an independent European Public Prosecutor as quickly as possible (Mr Rutelli told the press of his fears that the...
