05/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - According to estimates published on 5 November by Eurostat, the volume of retail sales fell by 0.9% in the Euro Area and rose by 0.3% in the European Union (EU 15) in August 2003. In comparison to the month of July 2003, sales fell by 0.1% in the Euro Area, but remained unchanged in the EU15.
